Barratt Jelly Babies 3Kg

I have purchased a number of 3Kg bags of Barratts Jelly Babies over the past few years. Not all from Candycrave I should add. I am Type II Diabetic and like many other diabetics they are used sparingly to halt falling blood glucose levels an thus prevent a hypoglycemic episode. I don't really have a complaint about the Jelly Babies but I thought I would pass on to you the fact that I have made an enquiry to Valeo Confectionery Ltd that I have noticed the varying size of the sweets in the 3kg bags I have purchased. Sometimes the size has been bigger than the previous bag, then the next bag the 'babies' have been smaller. I have also questioned the reason why the bulk buy Jelly Babies are not shaped as the characters in the little bags that can be purchased in shops and supermarkets. Over the years a 3kg bag is always 3kgs, but why have the individual sweets got smaller. It's not quite the same as 'shrinkflation" because prices have changed little if at all. I'd welcome your thoughts if you have noticed the variation.
